Worked as a systems engineer and system administrator on the CIASource/CP project. CIASource is the Agency's primary dissemination vehicle for both finished and unfinished intelligence products. Worked with project team members to design and build the replacement for the current Lotus Notes/Domino version of CIASource. The new CIASource/CP system is an n-tier J2EE application using the Plumtree Corporate Portal on BEA WebLogic with an Oracle RDBMS. The new system will deliver Document Level Access Control (DLAC) enabling the system to be used by many more customer organizations. Activities include architecting and configuring iPlanet web server, WebLogic application server, Plumtree Portal and Oracle for development, test and production platforms. Oversee software configuration management and application build and deployment. Worked with other Agency organizations to ensure system interoperability, policy compliance and to establish service level agreements with O&M organizations.

Developed several database applications for internal use by Operational Performance Evaluation Division (OPED), SIGINT Applications Integration Office (SAIO), SIGINT Directorate, NRO. Applications included a searchable ELINT emitter operating characteristic database, an inventory control database and an evaluation requirement tracking database linking customer requests to projects and through to documentation.

Participated as a member of the development team working on the New Media Evolution proof-of-concept. The NME application is a digital asset management system that enabled rapid "wizard-based" web interface development. NME was built with open-source Java Enterprise Edition technologies including Servlets, Java Beans, and Java Server Pages, on top of the industry-leading Documentum content management system.

Export-Import Bank of the United States Working Capital Guarantee Program application migration project. Migrated EXIM's loan guarantee application processing from a legacy host system to the web with Lotus Notes/Domino and Oracle RDBMS. Served as technical liaison to the program manager, oversaw application integration issues and provided specific technical expertise to aid in the development of application components.

Consultant for British Petroleum (bp) as a member of a working group designing new Internet access architecture for worldwide deployment to support new Digital Business initiatives and company growth to 80,000 employees since mergers with AMACO, ARCO, and Burma Castrol. Architecture components include LAN and WAN network infrastructure, SMTP and DNS services, intrusion detection, web caching and content filtering.

On contract for Media Exchange International improved and documented new system and application architecture for web-based video, audio, and image content management. Integrated Apache, JServe, mySQL, Quicktime and RealServer servers as well as JSP application development. Supported transition from their existing server hosting facility to ServerVault.

Responsible for maintaining the network infrastructure for the SAIC corporate support network and the FTS software development and testing laboratory. Responsibilities include firewall operation, router and switch configuration, domain names service (DNS) configuration and network performance monitoring and troubleshooting.

Responsible for supporting developers working on FBIS Technical System contracts. Maintained 100+ node Microsoft NT network as well as Solaris production systems, and network infrastructure.
